What can I do?

Simple, specific ways to take part:

We are always looking for people to help us ask our politicians to support A New Way to Work, the real traffic solutions, and the other benefits it provides.

  1. Please submit comments and ask that the New Way To Work Alternative designed by Glatting Jackson be included in this EIS. Please submit your comments on the DOT website at: http://www.dot.state.sc.us/I526/default.shtml
  2. Invite a speaker to your church group, garden club, neighborhood association, etc. Please send us an email if you would like one of us to come to your event and give a presentation about A New Way to Work on solving Charleston's traffic issues.
  3. Write a letter to the editor of the Charleston Post and Courier.
  4. Write a letter to the Charleston Legislative Delegation, Charleston City Council, and Charleston County Council and let them know what you want for your neighborhood.
Click here to find out who your representatives are.
  5. Talk to your friends neighbors about your opposition to I-526 and encourage them to talk to their friends and neighbors.
  6. Put a sign in your front yard. Plywood and spray paint work best. Send a clear message to everyone driving by that you are ready for a New Way To Work on Charleston's traffic problems Make sure to put the website (www.NewWayToWork.com) on your sign. Think of your own message or use one of these.
